Mrs. Elva P. Williams died June 21 at Ogden
Mrs. Elva P. Williams, age 77, died June 21st in an Ogden hospital of natural causes.
Funeral services were conducted at Malad Stake LDS Chapel Monday with Bishop Myron Jones, Jr. officiating. Speakers were M. Joe Davis, Lorin Daniels and Nancy Hobbs, who gave the obituary. Mrs. Estella Jones read a tribute, family prayer was offered by Bishop R. Gene Allphin; invocation, Bishop Robert Waldron; benediction, Dennis Williams. Special music included a duet, Connie Budge and Colleen Graves; a trio, Helen Jones, Wanda Edwards and Miriel Dredge. Accompanists were Jolene Allphin and Myra Jean John, who also played prelude and postlude music.
At Samaria City Cemetery, dedicatory prayer was offered by Richard Hobbs. Flowers were cared for by members of Samaria Ward Relief Society, Pearl Atkinson, president.
Casket bearers were Mark Allphin, Michael Allphin, Ron Blaisdell, Jack Hobbs, Jimmie Hobbs, Danny Williams and Dennis Williams.
Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams was born Nov. 17, 1895, at Malad, a daughter of Thomas and Jennette Daniels Price. She married James H. Williams, March 29, 1916, at Malad, and the marriage was solemnized May 27, 1925, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Williams died October 22, 1952.
Mrs. Williams was active in the L.D.S. Relief Society and Mutual.
Surviving are a son, J. Bland, Malad; daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jennie) Hobbs, Logan; Mrs. Theron (Ruth) Blaisdell, Malad; Mrs. Gene (JoAnn) Allphin, Ogden; 17 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; brothers, sister, Thomas D., Ogden; John D., Pocatello; Henry, Glendale, Cal.; Mrs. Ethel Thomas, Malad.
