Elva Mae Shuldberg Gleed

Elva Mae Shuldberg Gleed, 92, Malad, passed away August 18, 2001, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, of causes incident to age. She was born May 1, 1909, in Winder, Idaho, daughter of William Anderson Shuldberg and Sarah Jane Hansen.
She married Lamoni Rawson Taylor on September 30, 1936. He passed away in August 1970. She married Ern Gleed June 11, 1974, in the Ogden Temple. He passed away August 2, 1999.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education on June 9, 1962, from Utah State University. She taught elementary school in Utah, Arizona and Idaho, for .over 32, years. The greater portion of her’, career was 22 years in Whitney, Idaho, which she described as more than delightful”.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a teacher in all auxiliaries. She served in the Stake Sunday School and Relief Society Boards. She also served as a Visiting Teacher.
She is survived by a brother, Howard H. Shuldberg of Logan, Utah; a sister, Sara Lou Blomquist (Philip) of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister-in-law, Eudora Shuldberg of Terreton, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” to many of them. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, and
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 12:00 Noon at the Benson Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery.
