Elmer Vance Ward

Arbon….Elmer Vance Ward, 89, passed away August 22, 2010 at home, with his family by his side. He was born October 15, 1920 in Malad, to Elmer Mosiah and Susan Irene Thomas Ward. He was the oldest of 5 children and is survived by two sisters, Eileen Estep and Nelda Williams. He was married to Edith Jones July 22, 1944 and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on December 18, 1961. Edith preceded him in death on November 16, 2004. He loved to hunt and fish and kept busy up until the time of his death. He is survived by two sons and three daughters and their spouses; Linda and Ken Davis; Vance and JoAnn Ward; Arlene and Ken Colling; Laurie and Jerry Call; Darrel and Laurie Ward. He has 24 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurel Ann Ward. He will be dearly missed by all his loving family and friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 26, 2010 at 12 noon in the Arbon LDS Chapel, 1358 Church Road in Arbon, with President Darrel Ward, officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the church prior to services from 10:00-11:45 am. Burial will follow in the Arbon Cemetery, with military rites.
