Our loving mother, nana and grand-nana passed away on October 6, 2011 at the age of 90 in Bluffdale, Utah. Ella Owens was born on June 21, 1921 to John H. and Merella J. Owens in Malad, Idaho.

She married the love of her life, Pharen M. Apgood on June 19, 1942. They were married for 64 years before his passing. They were blessed with three children, one who passed away three days after birth. After leaving Malad, she made her home in Salt Lake City for 70 years, where she worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 32 years.

Ella is survived by her sons Timothy (Nora) and Garth. She leaves a legacy of three grandchildren, Greg (Debbie) Apgood, Brett (Shanette) Apgood and Michelle (Brandon) Danielson and nine great-grandchildren, KD, Ali, BJ, Bryce, Kassee, Becca, Emma, Grace and Molly. Ella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin son (Garn) and siblings Mary, Clair, Audrey, Jess, Harry, Beth and twin sister, Edith.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, Salt Lake City, Utah.
