Elizabeth Wight Edwards

Malad- Mrs Elizabeth Wight Edwards, 72, of Malad, died Thursday [residing] in the Oneida Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs Edwards was born June 13, 1891 in Pleasantview, Idaho, a daughter of Wilford and Lucy Ann Davis Wight. She was educated in Pleasantview and Brigham City. She was married to David M Edwards Sept. 28, 1910, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Mr Edwards died April 12,1960.
She was a member of the Malad Stake Sunday School Board and a Relief Society teacher. She had been a Sunday School teacher, teacher in the Gospel Doctrine class and member of the Third Ward Relief Society. She had been Relief Society president and counselor in the St John Ward. She was a member of the Oneida County Chapter of American War Mothers and St John Native Daughters of Idaho Pioneers.
Surviving are four sons and five daughters, Warren and D Gene Edwards, Malad; Ralph Edwards, Boise; Wilford Edwards, Eugene, Ore; Mrs Neil (Edna) Jones and Mrs Grant (Helen) Jones, Malad; Mrs Walter (Lucy) Harrison, Pocatello; Mrs A I (Hazel) Larsen, Logan; Mrs Don (June) Wright, Ames, Iowas; 33 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one brother and sister, Wilford Wight, Santa Monica, Calif; Mrs Emma Maag, American Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 pm in the Malad Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Lon W Corbridge conducting. Friends may call at the home of Mrs Neil Jones, 434 W Bannock, tonight f
