Services Held For Former Resident

Funeral services were held Friday at Grace Chapel in the Inglewood Park Cemetery for Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Lavern. Andersen, Los Angeles, Calif.; and former Malad resident who died July 2, 1962 at View park Hospital in Los Angeles.

She was born (Oct 7 1886) a daughter of H. M. and Elizabeth Finley Shelton. She was married to George L. Andersen, Oct. 26, 1910 in the Logan LDS Temple. The couple homesteaded at Bannock Valley in 1910 and came to Malad in 1916. They lived here until 1942 when they moved to California where Mr. Andersen was employed at the Toule Lake Japanese Center. They have lived in Los Angeles since 1946.

While in Malad, Mrs. Andersen was active in work of the LDS Church, being associated with the Primary, MIA and Relief Society.

She is survived by her husband; two sons and a daughter: Cleve S. Andersen, Inglewood, Calif.; Don S. Andersen, Pasco, Washington; Cleo S. Donnelly, Los Angeles; a brother and three sisters: Verl Shelton, Vessie Gibbs, Linzy Larsen, all of Mendon, Utah; Eethel Bullock, Inglewood, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
