Funeral Services for Mrs. T. 0. Williams
Funeral services for Mrs. T. O Williams, 61, were held Wednesday in the Malad First ward chapel with Bishop Thomas D. Evans presiding. Mrs. Williams died at the family residence on Monday following an illness of several years from diabetes.
Speakers at the services were: Wm. Rutter, President Thomas W. Richard’s, and Bishop Thomas D. Evans. Musical numbers included: Duet, J. Guy Gleed and L. G. Corbridge; vocal solo, Mrs. Margaret E. Jones; vocal solo, Stillman Harris. All these musical numbers were accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Davis: vocal solo Keith Evans accompanied by Mrs. Evans.
Invocation was by Wm. Henderson and benediction was by Richard J. Evans. Interment was in the St. John cemetery with H. D. Davis dedicating the grave.
Elizabeth Ann Evans Williams was born in Wales, July 31, 1878, the daughter of Joseph William and Mary Ann Evans. She came to this country with her parents When two years old and settled in Malad valley. She was married in 1899 to Thomas Oliver Williams a farmer of Malad valley. To this union were born ten children eight of whom survive.
Those surviving are: Lloyd Williams of Jerome, Idaho; Mrs. Victoria Colton, Malad; Dave Williams of Clarkston, Mrs. Thelma Green of McCammon, Frank Roy, Vern and Vera Williams of Malad.
Five step children, Mrs. Mary Westegard and John Williams of Salt Lake City, Oliver Williams and John Williams of Malad and Mrs. Annie Bozeman of California also survive and twenty grand-children.
Surviving brothers and sisters are: Joshua F. Evans, Mrs. W. A. McClurg, Mrs. Ed. Greer, Mrs. Ar¬thur Mitchell, and Mrs. Sam Lusk, all of Malad and Dan F. Evans of Boise.
Out of town people who attended the funeral included: Mrs. Lucy Loman, Jess Loman and Miss Lillian Loman, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Bright, Oliver E. Williams of Pocatello; Ed. Jennings Sr. and Ed Jennings Jr., Mrs. lone Clark, Mrs. Altha Poulson, Mr. and Mrs. James Denning, Mr. and Mrs. George Denning, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Owens, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Westegard, Mrs. Azriah Williams, John J. Williams, Mrs. Sarella Donnelly, all of Idaho Falls.
