Elizabeth Ann Barnett Andersen

Mrs. Andersen, age 84, dies at Pocatello

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Barnett Andersen, age 84, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 1975, of a heart ailment in the Bannock Memorial Hospital, Pocatello.

She was born March 25, 1891, in Layton, Utah, a daughter of Ephriam and Elizabeth Ellen Perkins Barnett.

She was married to Laurence LeRoy Andersen March 18, 1909, in Brigham City, Utah; the marriage was solemnized Feb. 13, 1931 in the Logan L.D.S. Temple. Mr. Andersen died Feb. 2, 1975. Mrs. Andersen lived in Layton until 7 years old and moved to Weston, Idaho, and attended schools there.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society, Primary and was a visiting teacher for over 30 years. She was also a member of the War Mothers in Malad City.

Survivors include five sons and one daughter: Leon L. Andersen and Joseph N. Andersen, both Challis, Idaho; Loren D. (Cy) Andersen, Malad City; L. DeVon Andersen, Murtaugh, Idaho; F. LaDell Andersen, Logan, Utah; Mrs. Parker (Verne) Richards, Pocatello; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one brother and 3 sisters: Frank Barnett, Pocatello; Mrs. Alice Thomas, Murray, Utah; Mrs. Mary Johnson, Smithfield, Utah; Mrs. Charles (Jessie) Wight, Malad City.

Funeral service was held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Wesley Crowther officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by the Benson Funeral Home
