Services Conducted Friday for Ned Apgood, age 51

Services were conducted Friday at Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Gordon Crowther officiating, for Edwin Garth (Ned) Apgood, age 51, who died July 25, 1972, at Soda Springs following an accident at Grace.

Speakers were Doral Barnard, Robert Smellie, and Bishop Crowther, who read the obituary. Vocal selections included a trio by Helen Jones, Wanda Edwards and Miriel Dredge, and a solo by Leora Brown. Family prayer was offered by Ervin Apgood; invocation, Ralph Gleed, and benediction, Jerry Cross. Accompanist was Iris Blaisdell and prelude and postlude music was played by Pearl Stuart.

At Malad City Cemetery, Raiford G. Benson offered the dedicatory prayer. American Legion Auxiliary, Valoy Smith, president, and nieces cared for the flowers.

Honorary bearers were Doral Barnard, Sam Robinson, Earl Lloyd, Jerry Cross, Lynn Day, and managers of Farmers Grain Coop. Casket bearers were Stan Jensen, DeWight Apgood, Mark Apgood, Larry Apgood, Tim Apgood and Garth Apgood.

Military rites and honor guard were provided by American Legion, Ernest W. Jones post No. 65.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
