Edward Dale Thomas

Edward Dale Thomas, 76, died at his home Tuesday, May 4, 1993.

He was born Feb 28, 1917 in Samaria, Idaho, the son of Edward John and Mary Hamblin Thomas.

He was married to Melva June Reed on Jan. 1, 1937, in Inkom, Idaho. They enjoyed 41 wonderful years
together and are together once again. He was an avid sportsman who loved animals and nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping and reading. He also loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. He was well known for his poise and style. His unique whistle will be missed by all.

Prior to retirement, Ed was an Executive Field Representative for Farm Bureau Insurance Company.

Surviving are his two sisters; Catherine Thomas Polley and Eleanor Thomas Edmiston, bother of Calif. Also surviving are his children, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rain (Sandra) Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. James Hunter (Renee), Barstow, Calif.; Mr. Ricky D. Thomas, Clinton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Melva, and his brother, Lewis H. Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at the graveside Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Saturday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
