Edna Hawkins Leavitt Worthen

BUNKERVILLE, Nevada – Edna Hawkins Leavitt Worthen, 70, died Saturday, February 11, at the St. George, (Utah) Care Center following an extended illness.
She was born March 2, 1918 in Malad, to Ephraim and Rachel Griffiths Hawkins.
She married Vaughn Leavitt in 1937. He died September 30, 1971.
She married W. Paul Worthen November 11, 1985. He died February 10, 1987.
She was raised and educated in Malad. Following her marriage to Mr. Leavitt she moved to Bunkerville, where she has resided most of her life.
She was an active member of the LDS Church serving as a teacher in Primary and the Relief Society for many years.
She enjoyed dancing and cooking.
She is survived by two sons, Clarren L. Leavitt, Greeley, Colorado; Lennis Delwin Leavitt, Parowan, Utah; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ephraim and Farrell Hawkins, both of Salt Lake City; William G. Hawkins, Elko, Nevada; and two sisters, Edith Rainwater, Brawley; Thella Doss, Canyon Lake, California.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Bunkerville LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Bunkerville Cemetery under the direction of Met-calf Mortuary, St. George, Utah.
