Earl Zane Rowe

McCammon, Idaho….Earl Zane Rowe, 82, lifetime resident of McCammon and husband of Meredith Ann Warner Rowe, passed away on January 11, 2009, in a local care facility. Zane was born Ocotber 25, 1926 in McCammon, a son of Truman Earl and Eleanor G. Green Rowe. He grew up and was educated in McCammon and was a graduate of McCammon High School. Zane excelled in athletics while in high school and was especially talented in basketball. He passed on to his children, the same talent and enjoyment for sports. He married Berniece Allen October 10, 1944, in Pocatello. She passed away October 6, 1983. He married Meredith Ann Warner, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 23, 2004. Zane was a carpenter for many years, a profession he excelled in and very much enjoyed. He had been involved in many construction projects in the Marsh Valley,
Chubbuck and Pocatello areas. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, gardening and raising horses and cattle. Zane was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was a High Priest and very much enjoyed his association with the men in his High Priest Group. He is survived by his wife; Meredith of McCammon; children; Ron (Ronda) Rowe of Pocatello; Pam (Allan) Ranstrom of Eagle, Idaho; Shane (Luanne) Rowe of McCammon; Bret (Rebecca) Rowe of Pocatello; 2 Stepchildren; Tiffany Sheppard of Pocatello and Trent (Michelle) Nelson of Idaho Falls. 23 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; 1 sister; Lois Harris of McCammon. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Berniece; one granddaughter, 2 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 16, 2009, at 12 noon in the McCammon LDS Stake Chapel, with Bishop Ivan Bullock, officiating. Friends may visit with the Rowe Thursday evening January 15, from 6-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral home, 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo, and on Friday at the church prior to services from 10:30-11:45 am. Burial will follow in the Norton Cemetery.
