Services Monday For Mr. Yearsley
Bishop Morgan W. Harris officiated at the funeral services Monday for Durward Nathan Yearsley, 53, who died Friday (14 Aug 1958) of pneumonia in the Oneida Hospital.
J. Harold Howell offered the family prayer.
At the Malad Second Ward LDS chapel, prelude and postlude music was played by Lynda Willie. Ellis Harris offered the invocation and Dale Moon, the benediction. Speakers were Bsp, Harris who read the obituary, Benjamin Lundberg and Dr. Thos. W. Richards. Musical numbers were a solo, Louis Yearsley; duet, Vareen John and Maisie Williams; violin solo, Fern Willie. Accompanists were Lorna Willie and Eunice Tovey.
Thomas A. John dedicated the grave.
Flowers were arranged by the Cherry Creek Relief Society.
Casket bearers were Leon Yearsley, Norman Howell, Stanton Yearsley, Duane Jensen, Earl Yearsley and Stanley Jensen.
Interment was in the Portage Cemetery directed by the Benson Funeral Home.
Mr. Yearsley was born at Woodruff on Sept. 18, 1904, a son of James Heber and Rosa J. Howell Yearsley. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He moved with his family to Malad in 1957.
Survivors include his mother, Malad; six brothers and four sisters, Fenton T.; Leslie E., Gerald M., Malad; Calvin J. Downey……..
