Douglas Todd Bennett, 45, of Downey, passed away on July 15, 2013 in Pocatello, of natural causes. He was born June 18, 1968 in Pocatello, a son of DeVerl and Linda Lake Bennett. His family moved to Ogden when he was a young man and he was a graduate of Ogden High School. He then attended DeVry Technical School in Arizona, where he received a degree in Computer Science. Following graduation, he began employment in the Computer industry. Douglas was extremely gifted with computers and had a great career while working in Dallas Texas. Due to ill health he lost his eyesight and other health problems developed. The past several years he has resided in Downey and Pocatello. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed NASCAR and books on tape. He is survived by his mother; Linda Bennett of Downey; his girlfriend and caregiver; Shari Steimle of Chubbuck; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother; William Joe Bennett in 2004. Services will be held on Friday July 19, 2013 at the Cambridge Cemetery at 12 noon. Friends may visit with the family at the Downey LDS Chapel on Friday from 11:00-11;45.
