Dorothy LaRae Briggs Harrison

Dorothy LaRae Briggs Harrison, 73, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at her home.
LaRae was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Malad, Idaho, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy Richards Briggs. She attended and graduated from Malad schools. She enjoyed helping her mother bake, clean and help with her younger siblings or as she always said, “Playing house.” On Nov. 6, 1964, she married the love of her life Jesse D. Harrison in Malad. She moved around with her husband as he worked on different ranches before settling in Malad. She was an amazing wife and stay at home mother.
LaRae loved being outside working in her yard and garden and especially enjoyed the animals. She always nurtured the sick ones back to health. She loved hiking and exploring the great outdoors. LaRae was an amazing cook, woodworker and seamstress. There was nothing she could not accomplish.
LaRae was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints later in life and held many positions. Her favorite was scouting.
LaRae loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them accomplish their dreams.
She is survived by her sons; J. Shawn (Tawnya) of Nibley, Utah, William H. “Bill” (Debbie) of Malad, Idaho, daughter Linda (Rick) Sullivan of Malad, Idaho, grandchildren Tiffany (Dom), Nicole, Josh, Lexie, Shaylee (Andy), Brycie, Blake (Elizabeth), Ashley, Jess (Haylie), Samantha, Kayla, Austin, Quort and Kyler, nine great grandchildren, brother Loyd (Stephanie) Briggs of Malad, Idaho, sisters Berniece (Grant) Weeks of Malad, Idaho, MaurINE (Tom) Karas of Phoenix, Arizona, Mary Toone of Green River, Wyoming and Beth Briggs of Malad, Idaho, and many nieces and nephews.
