Dixie Lee Davidson Jones

(May 21, 1934 – September 29, 2016)

Dixie Lee Davidson Jones passed away on September 29th, 2016 in Malad Idaho. She was 82 years old. She was born in Centerfield, Utah to Rosa Marie Christensen and Seth Davidson. She attended and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She married her sweetheart, Leland A. Jones on June 28th, 1952. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah temple on August 1st, 1962. They were married for 45 years before Lee passed away. They had four children: Brigham (Teresa) Jones, Sherry (Herb) Hess, Gaylon Jones, and Denise Creager, all of Malad Idaho. They have 16 grandchildren and 29 1/2 great-grand children. Her family was the absolute joy of her life and she loved taking care of them.

She was a CNA at the Oneida County Hospital and was very active in church. She held many callings, including Relief Society President and held the position of the first counselor. She had a fun personality, was very witty, and she loved to tease. One of her favorite hobbies was spending time with her husband, Lee, at the cutter races and rodeo. She loved watching him race the horses.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her sister Carol, her mother, father, in-laws, grandparents, and granddaughter, Michelle. Viewing will be held on Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 11:45 am, with the funeral immediately following. Services will be held at the Horsley Funeral Home in Malad, Idaho with the burial at Malad City Cemetery.
