Dee Otto “Pete” Morrison

Dee Otto “Pete” Morrison, passed away on August 26, 2013 in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born March 26, 1936 in Downey, idaho a son of William and Louise Morrison. He grew up west of Downey at Marsh Creek, where the family farmed. Dee married Treva Henderson and together they had five children; Jacque, Kip, Kevin, Kurt and Kory. Dee moved his family to Pocatello, where he worked construction and did excavation work on his own for several years. The family moved back to Downey and Dee became Foreman for the Swan Lake Highway District, a job he enjoyed very much. Dee looked forward to having a “Pork Chop” with his friends at the end of the day. Dee spent the last years of his life at his home in Pocatewllo, with weekly trips to Downey to do chores and check on the kids. Dee is survived by his 5 kids and their families, two brothers; Reed and Darrel and one sister; Verda. His wife, Treva, passed away in 2007. Friends may visit with the family on Friday evening August 30th from 6-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral home 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo. There will be a family graveside service at the Downey City Cemetery Saturday at noon.
