Debra Faye Day

Downey…Debra Faye Day 60, passed away peacefully at her home in Downey, September 15, 2018. Debbie was born October 2, 1957 to Hal and Jane Whitworth. Debbie grew up in Inkom Idaho. She attended school in Inkom and graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1975. Growing up she participated in 4-H, Basketball, FFA and high school rodeo. Debbie married her best friend and sweetheart, Dennis Day, August 19, 1977. Together they had two children, Norman Heath Day and Heather Lee Day. They also have a grand dog, Tasha. Debbie worked for AMI, LaPaloma and for the last 38 years was employed by Flags West. Debbie enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and spending time with her family. It didn’t matter what they were doing as long as they were doing it together. Debbie is preceded in death by both her parents. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Day, both of her children, Heath Day (Robyn) of Meridian and Heather Day of Downey, Her Mother in-law. LouDonna Day of Downey. Two Bother in-laws Don (Karen) of Malad. Darren (Elaine) of Salt Lake. Sister in-law Donna (Mike) Simon of Ely Nevada. Serval Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20 at 12 noon in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family at the Church Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Downey City Cemetery.
