Deaon B. Condie

Our beloved mother, Deaon B. Condie, 72, of Pocatello, went home on Thursday, December 18, 1997, at a local care center.
She was born to Della Rose Gleed and Zephaniah Hill on Sept. 3, 1925 in Malad, Idaho. She was reared and educated in the Malad area, attending grade school in St. John, Idaho, and high school in Malad.
She married George L. Burback May 18, 1949 in Dillon, Mont. They had two sons, Larry and Rodney Burback. She was a meat wrapper for Safeway Stores for about 10 years.
She later worked at Gate City Drug, Albertson’s and also the Yellowstone Hotel.
George passed away May 14, 1984. She married James F. Condie Jan. 6, 1986.
She was a member of the LDS Church, attending the 12th Ward. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed ceramics, gardening, flowers and vegetables.
In her younger years she loved the out-of-doors, traveling and fishing.
She loved her grandchildren, and loved to have them around her. She always put other people’s needs ahead of herself.
She is survived by her husband, James Fredrick Condie, Pocatello; two sons, Larry L. Burback (Susan) and Rodley L. Burback (Debra), both of Pocatello; two stepdaughters, Marilyn (Stan) Henson, Pocatello, and Colleen (Wilbur) Gregory, Blackfoot; three stepsons, James Condie, Pocatello, Robert Condie (Beulah), Las Vegas, Nev.; and Richard Condie )Nancy), Utah; four sisters, Doris Rast, American Falls, Idaho, Della Mae (Cecil) Fry, Ogden, Utah; Marcedia (Ren Ray) Bowen, Malad, Idaho, and Shirlene (Geri) Hill, Pingree, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, two brothers, one sister and her parents.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997 at the 12th Ward Chapel, Fourth and Fredregill, with Bishop Nick Nielson officiating. Viewing will be held this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. Fourth Ave., and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
