March 5, 1918 – July 2, 1974

David Parry Evans, age 56, died Tuesday at 11 p.m. at his home of natural causes. Mr. Evans was born March 5, 1918 at Malad, a son of David Parry and Eliza Chivers Evans. He married Velma Knudsen June 6, 1942 at Malad.

Mr. Evans had been employed at Ren’s Chevrolet as a mechanic. He was a veteran of World War II, member of American Legion Post No. 65 and of Malad City Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow, Malad; two sons, Dennis, Malad and David P., Coeur d’Alene, two grandchildren, five sisters, Mrs. Evan (Maude) Jones, Mrs. Hyrum (Adele) Peterson, Mrs. Dewey (Ione) Jones, Malad; Mrs. Gayle Zundel, Sparks, Nevada; Mrs. Calvin (Elaine) Godfrey, Midvale, Utah.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday in Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Darrell Swartz officiating. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by Benson Funeral Home.
