David M Edwards

David M Edwards Dies of Heart Ailment Tuesday.
David M Edwards, life-long resident of Oneida County, died at the Oneida Hospital Tuesday of a heart ailment April 12, 1960.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday at one pm in the Malad Third Ward LDS Chapel by Bishop Hubert Gleed.
Mr. Edwards was a retired farmer and stockman, having farmed in the Elkhorn area for 40 years. He had been a member of the St John Irrigation Co. board and of the school board for a number of years. At the time of his death, he was deputy state brand inspector for Oneida County. Mr. Edwards was an Elder in the LDS church.

Mr. Edwards was born December 14, 1889 at St. John, a son of David L. and Matlida Monson Edwards. He married Elizabeth Wight on September 28, 1910 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.

Survivors include his widow, Malad; four sons, Warren W. and David Eugene, Malad; Ralph W., Boise; Wilford (Bill), Eugene, OR; five daughters, Mrs. Neil (Edna) Jones, Mrs. Grant (Helen) Jones, Malad; Mrs. Walter D. (Lucy) Harrison, Pocatello; Mrs. Arthur I. (Hazel) Larsen, Logan; Mrs. Don (June) Wright, Kensington, MD; 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. L.L. (Margaret) Jones, Ogden; Mrs. Adeline Hatch, Las Vegas, NV; Mrs. Dave (Leona) Gardener, Van Nuys, CA; Mrs. Victor (Sylvia) Thomas, Salt Lake City, UT.

Friends may call at the home of his daughter, Mrs Neil Jones, 434 Bannock Street, Thursday evening and Friday prior to the service.
