David E. Evans, age 67, died November 8, 1970 at the Marsh Valley Hospital in Downey, following a long illness. He was born January 29, 1903 at Malad, a son of David R. and Margaret Evans Evans. He attended the Malad school and Utah State Agricultural College at Logan.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and farmed until his retirement a few years ago.

He married Harriet “Hattie” Denning in 1920 and she died July 11, 1949. He married Violette May Crites February 14, 1952 at Evanston, Wyoming.

Survivors include his widow of Malad; a son, Uriah Grant Evans, Garden Grove, CA; a step-son Vernon Wolford, Salem, OR; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
