David B. Hansen

McCammon….David B. Hansen, 74, of McCammon, husband of Belva Capell Hansen, passed away on February 15, 2011 of a sudden illness. He was born February 4, 1937 in Preston, IDaho, a son of James Reynolds and Julia L. Binggeli Hansen. David attended school in the West Side area and was a graduate of West Side High School, class of 1955. He then attended Tech School to become a “Glazier’, a profession he was employed at most of his life. He married Kathleen Barnes September 13, 1957 in the Logan LDS Temple and they later divorced. David had worked as a window Glazier in the Idaho Falls area until 1977 then in Pocatello for many years. He had been employed with several different companies through the years. He married Belva Mae Capell on November 29, 1991 in McCammon and they have lived there since. Following retirement he went back to work for the Chubbuck School District #25 in the Maintenence dept. David loved car shows, gun shows, airplane shows, playing “31” and watching old western movies. He was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he had served in several callings through the years. He is survived by his wife, Belva of McCammon; children; Daralyn (Gus) Moedl of Idaho Falls; Gregg Hansen of Idaho Falls; Kristen (Brian) England of Pingree, Idaho; Step Children; Toni (Davin) Hower of Boise; Dan (Rose) Frey of Syracuse, Utah; Ron (Cherrie) Frey; Roger (Nikki) Frey and Michael (Kelli) Frey all of Pocatello. 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 1 brother; Glade (Diane) Hansen of Centerville, Utah; 5 sisters; Dorothy Miller, San Jose, CA.; LaDean (Bob) Daines, ST. Louis, MO.; Ruth Williams of Garland, Utah; Lois Peterson of Preston, Idaho; Faye & Vance Mendenhall of Clearfield, Utah. He wa preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glen. Funeral services will be held on Monday February 21, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the McCammon LDS Stake Chapel, Bishop Ivan Bullock, officiating. Friends may visit with the Hansen family on Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home 570 N. Meadowview Dr. in Arimo and on Monday at the church prior to services from 11:30am 12:45 pm. Burial will follow in the Robin Cemetery.
