Darley J. & Helen Parson Allen

Darley J. Allen and his wife, Helen Parson Allen passed away at their home in Centerville, Utah, surrounded by their family. She passed away on February 26, 2003, and he passed away on February 27, 2003.

They were formerly of Sunneyside, WA, where he was a farmer and worked for the USDA Natural Resources and Conservation Service.

Darley was born October 12, 1915 to Spencer F. Allen and Sara Allen. He was raised in Malad and Pocatello Valley on a dry farm. He attended schools in Malad and served in the United States navy.

Helen was born February 9, 1925 in Newton, Utah to Inez Cooley and James Henry Parson. She was raised in Cache Valley.

They were married January 14, 1935 in Pocatello, ID and later sealed in the temple. They were both very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They went on a service mission in Tanga for the church.

They are survived by five children, one brother, Earl G. Allen, Malad, ID and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

They were preceded in death by their parents, one infant son, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held March 8, 2003 at noon in the Rowland Chapel in Centerville. Burial will be in Hyrum, Utah that same day.
