Dale Kelly Fuhriman

Dale Kelly Fuhriman, 42, of Malad passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2001, due to a work-related accident.
He was born December 3, 1958, in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada, the son of Dale Arnold Fuhriman and Rula Jean Thomas. He was educated in Canada and the United States. He graduated in 1976 from Malad High School. Being a “Jack of All Trades,” Kelly was an established contractor in the valley. Kelly’s various jobs included oil field work, mechanics, plumbing, electrical construction, carpenter and concrete work.
Kelly was a contractor who was concerned about the quality of work that he performed. Kelly took pride in his work and completed each job to the very best of his ability.
He married Laura Knudsen in Malad on November 29, 1981. They have three children, Amber Rae Fuhriman, 18; Dale Justin Fuhriman, 11; and Sean Jonathon Fuhriman, 9.
He valued his family and friends and the camping weekends they treasured, whether it be at the lake or in the mountains. Kelly enjoyed water skiing, flying, ultralight gliding, fishing, baseball, target practice with his boys, and the cookouts in the outdoors in the backyard by the stream. He enjoyed all activities that included his children, family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laura, and children, Amber Rae, Dale Justin and Sean Jonathon Malad; his mother, Rula Thomas Malad; one sister, Kathy (Kevin Schwartz and their children, Kenny; and Karla, Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Bart (Teresa) Fuhriman and their children, Zach and Blake Lander, Wyoming; a niece, Sherry (Sher-Bear) Fuhriman, Malad; stepmother, Merigene Fuhriman, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada stepsister, Marti (Tom), also of Dawson Creek, British Columbia Canada; and numerous family members who cared and loved Kelly very much.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Shane Fuhriman, father, Dali Arnold Fuhriman; and grandparents J.M. and Jetta Isaacson, Delbert Arnold and Elna Fuhriman. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Horsley Funeral Home.
