Curtis Reeder

Malad…..Curtis Reeder, 47, of Malad, passed away on April 7, 2011, from complications of Diabetes. He was born May 5, 1963, in Preston, Idaho a son of Neal and Marie Baxter Reeder. Curtis grew up and attended school in Malad. He has been a hard worker all his life and was employed with Hess Pumice as a young man. He then became involved in oil exploration, a job that took him to several states, including Montana, Wyoming, California, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. He had driven truck and also operated seismic sensor oil finding equipment. Curtis had also worked for several of the Malad area farmers. Since 1995 he has been employed with the Oneida County Road Crew, driving heavy equipment and trucks.. Curtis loved the outdoors and especially camping with his family and good friend, Dalan. He also enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling, watching the “Simpsons”, and teasing his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his parents; Neal and Marie; brothers; Ceylon (Joanie) Reeder of Malad; Linda (Steve) Treasure of Malad; Owen John (Carol) Reeder of Lewiston, Idaho. and several nieces and nephews, all who were very special in his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Monday April 11, 2011 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS Stake Chapel 1250 W. 1100 N. Friends may visit with family this evening from 6-8 pm at the Horsley Funeral Home 132 W. 300 N. and on Monday at the funeral home from 10:30-11:30 am.
