Clinton H. Hooker, 74, of Idaho Falls, died March 7, 1992, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness.
He was born Aug. 6, 1917, at Clifton to Simon and Emma Ann Hooker. He was raised in the Clifton area and moved to Idaho Falls in the late 1930s. He served in the military during World War II in the South Pacific.
On Nov. 3, 1951, he married Margie Lundberg at Idaho Falls. They lived in Idaho Falls and he worked for Clyde Hess Distribution Co. for 10 years. In 1960 he opened C & E Services, which he owned and operated until his death.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of Idaho Falls; a son, Harold Hooker of Idaho Falls; and four sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Lucy) Pearce, Linda Kirkbridge, Mrs. Horace (Donetta) Statham, and Mrs. Wes (Lena) Deist, all of Idaho Falls. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Coltrin Colonial Mortuary in Idaho Falls with LDS Bishop Brent Simpson officiating. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
