Cleone Thorpe Facer

Cleone Thorpe Facer, 72, of Idaho Falls, died 8, 1992 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of a heart attack.
He was born March 10, 1919, at Samaria, Idaho, to Joseph Erickson Facer and Myrtle Thorpe Facer. He graduated from Malad High School.
He married Harriet Alice Gardner on Aug 2, 1939, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She died May 29, 1989.
He worked at the Navy Ordnance Plant in Pocatello and at the Mountain Home base during World War II.
He was an auto mechanic for 35 years. He owned Facers Garage in Malad for 10 years and later worked for Stoddard Ford and other garages until he was disabled.
He was an active member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Karen) Church of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Gayle Greenhalgh of Ammon, Maxilyn Facer and Teresa Facer, both of Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Ron (Gaylene) George of Rigby; one sister, Pearl Williams of Malad; four brothers, Grant Facer of Lafayette, Calif., Clarence Facer of Urbana, Ill., Robert Facer of Livermore, Calif., and George Facer of Tyhee, Idaho; and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the LDS West State Center, 2040 Brentwood, with Bishop Lyle Taggart officiating. The family will meet with friends at Wood Funeral Home from 7:30 to 9 pm, Tuesday and at the church for an hour before services. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
