Malad, Idaho- Mrs Charlotte Adams Evans, 85 died Wednesday in a Malad hospital after an illness. Born Dec. 24, 1871, at Malad to Benjamin and Mary Ann Clark Adams. Married to Thomas J Evans Dec. 24, 1891, at Malad. He died May 19, 1945, Survivors; sons and daughters Ben A, Mrs Charlotte Hansen and Thomas A, Malad; Mrs Maggie Reynolds and Mrs Fern Hogge, Ogden, Utah; William T, Huntinton Park, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs Eliza Evans, Malad; Carrie Adams, San Francisco; Mrs Georgeana Nelson, San Diego. Funeral, Saturday, 1 pm, Malad Third Ward Chapel. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Friends call at home of daughter, Mrs Hansen, 450 N Main St Friday evening and Saturday prior to service. Burial, Malad City Cemetery, directed by Benson Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the Third Ward LDS Chapel for Charlotte Adams Evans, 85, life-long resident of Malad, who died October 30, 1957, following a stroke suffered two weeks ago.

She was born December 24, 1871 at Malad to Benjamin and Mary Ann Clark Adams. She was reared and educated here and was married to Thomas J. Evans, December 24, 1891 at Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt lake City LDS Temple. He died May 19, 1945.

A member of the LDS Church, Mrs. Evans reared a grandson, Joseph W. Reynolds, Ogden, whose father was killed before his birth. In her younger years, Mrs. Evans devoted a great deal of time to nursing the sick.

Survivors: sons and daughters, Ben A., Mrs. Charlotte Hansen and Thomas A., Malad; Mrs. Maggie Reynolds and Mrs. Fern Hogge, Ogden, UT; William T., Huntington Park, CA; 19 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Eliza Evans, Malad; Carrie Adams, San Francisco; Mrs. Georgeana Nelson, San Diego.

Funeral services held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Malad Third Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in the Malad City Cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.
