Charles Wesley Morgan

ROY, Ut. – Charles Wesley Morgan, age 68, passed away Friday, September 2, 1994, at his home after an extended illness.

He was born April 14, 1926, in Casper, Wyoming, a son of Paul J. and Vera Eads Morgan.

He married Ruth Isakson on June 25, 1948. The marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple, on January 15, 1977.

Charles was a member of the Roy Third LDS Ward where he served in many positions.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1979. He was past president of the Roy Jaycees and a member of the BPO Elks #719 and Charter Member of the #2338 for 37 years. He was Exalted Ruler and District Deputy North. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Charles enjoyed humanitarian work, hunting, fly fishing, and most of all his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth of Roy; two sons and three daughters: C Brent Morgan, of Hooper, Utah; Dr. Paul W. Morgan of Chicago, Illinois; Sue Evans of Malad; Mary Lou Bigler, of Hoover, Alabama; and Nancy Burton, also of Hooper, Utah. His mother of Ogden, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive him.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6th in Roy. Interment was in the Roy City Cemetery.
