Charles Van Pelt Warner

Charles Van Pelt Warner, age 74, of 4101 South Fifth Ave., No. 4, passed away Monday morning, December 20, 1993, at Bannock Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

He was born April 15, 1919, in Malad, Idaho, a son of Isaac Van Pelt Warner and Luella An Jenkins. He attended schools in Malad, and served with the U.S. Army during world War II.

He played the trumpet in many dance bands when he was younger in the Malad area. Charles worked for many years as a mechanic for the state of Idaho Highway Department. He enjoyed fishing and playing the trumpet.

Survivors include one brother, W. Frank Warner, Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his twin sister, Molly.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 23, 1993, at 11 a.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, with
military graveside rites by the combined veterans’ groups of American Legion Post No. 4, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 735, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 3. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel, 510 N. 12th Ave., and on Thursday for one hour prior to the service.
