SALT LAKE CITY, Utah-Cathryn VanAble, 95, passed away October 19, 1988, of circumstances related to age.

She was born August 5, 1893, in Samaria, Idaho, to David D. and Rebecca Williams Williams. She married Elijah VanAble December 12, 1924, in Malad. He died in 1961.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many of the church auxiliaries.

Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Henry (June) Dietrich, and Arlene Lynn, both of Salt Lake; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday in the Deseret Mortuary in Salt Lake City. Graveside services were also held that day at the Malad City Cemetery where interment took place.
