Carry D. Richards Anderson

MALAD – Carry D. Richards Anderson, 78, Route 1, 500 West, died Thursday (24 Dec 1987) in the Oneida County Hospital.

She was born Nov. 16, 1909 in Malad, to Fredrick James and Sara Jane Adams Richards. She was reared and educated in Malad, graduating from Malad High School.
She married Clarence A. Anderson May 20, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Central, Idaho, Bancroft; Pocatello; and for the last 45 years in Malad.
She was a member of the LDS Church.
She spent most of her life making quilts and needlework of all kinds. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband of Malad; one son, Clarence R. Anderson, Pocatello; one daughter, Mrs. Martin (Sallie) Moore, Roy, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Ben Richards, Sandy, Utah. She was preceded in death by one son, Fredrick R. Anderson; and one granddaughter, Tina Marie Anderson; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be noon on Monday in the St. John and First Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Jerry Bush officiating. Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad and on Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
