Funeral Today For Mrs. Bolingbroke

Caroline Davis Bolingbroke, 68, died suddenly Sunday evening (15 February 1953) of a heart attack at her home in Malad.

A lifelong resident of Malad, Mrs. Bolingbroke was born March 19, 1884, a daughter of Samuel E. and Mary Jones Davis. She was married to Arthur L. Bolingbroke, Nov. 14, 1906, at Malad. Mr. Bolingbroke died Nov. 30, 1952. She was educated in the Malad elementary schools and was a member of the Malad LDS Second ward. Mrs. Bolingbroke also served as a Red Cross worker in Oneida County.

Surviving are three sons, Henry D., Malad; Drew, Craig, Colorado; Ralph, Pocatello; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Mockli, Preston; Mrs. Marie Day, Mountain Home; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Deschamps and Mrs. Margaret Jones, both of St. John; also 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. in the Malad Second ward chapel with Bishop A. G. Willie officiating.

Interment will be in the Malad City cemetery under the direction of the Benson Funeral Service.

Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Bolingbroke

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Davis Bolingbroke, 68, who died Feb. 15th, were held Thursday at the Malad Second ward chapel with Counselor Ralph W. Harding conducting.

Prayer at the home was offered by Harold Jones invocation, Hubert Gleed, benediction, J. Edward Gibbs; dedicatory prayer, Arch Harris. Speakers were William Rutter, J. Peter Jensen and Counselor Harding who also gave the obituary. Musical numbers consisted of prelude and postlude music, Mrs. S. A. Hendricks; song, Eldon Corbridge; vocal duet, June Crowther and Norma Gleed; song, Thomas J. Jones.
