Carol Dean Gleed Hall Babich

Carol Dean Gleed Hall Babich, 77, Pocatello, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2005 of a recent illness. She was welcomed into heaven by her mother, father and siblings.

Carol was born in Malad, Idaho on October 15, 1927, a daughter of Henry Samuel and Emma Thorpe Gleed. She was raised in New Canyon, just north of Malad and was the ninth of nine children.

She married Kay W. Hall on December 5, 1949, and their marriage was solemnized April 19, 1981 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. There were ten children born to this marriage. Kay passed away May 8, 1999. Carol later married Joseph Babich, and he preceded her in death.

Carol devoted her entire life to raisng her family and loving each of them. Her life and legacy was her family left behind. Carol loved church service, gardening, the outdoors, playing Bingo and her pets. She was happiest when cooking a big pot of chili and a pan of cinnamon rolls for all to enjoy.

She is survived by her children: Dennis (Lana), Gregory (Linda), Christina (Juan), Randall (Cathy), LuGenia (Kerry), Cynthia (Jack), Tawnya, Sheila, Andrea, Brad (Denise) and was later joined by a step daughter, Jaquelyn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.

She fought a gallant fight and has earned her place in heaven. “We love you Mom, and we’ll see you on the other side. All that is good in us we got from you!”

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS Sixth Ward Chapel, 400 North 200 West. Friends may call the the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m., and on Friday at the Funeral Home from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
