Carol (Chris) O’Len Christiansen

Carol (Chris) O’Len Christiansen, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend, age 80, passed away July 20, 2012 in South Salt lake City, UT surrounded by his family.

He was born January 1, 1932 in Malad, ID to Andrew Arden Christiansen and Hazel Elizabeth Peterson Craighead Christiansen. He married Patsy Ruth Cook in 1950, divorced, then married Willetta Gaylen in 1969, divorced, then married Doris Robinson Christiansen in 1971.

He served in the US Army. He worked for Deseret Land and Livestock, FMC, Pocatello, ID, Union Pacific Pipe Lines. He came to SLC,, UT in 1971 and started, owned and operated Christiansen Roofing Company, retired in 1995.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Robinson Christiansen; children Melvina (Dale) Burgener, Peggy Devore (Stacy), Kenny Christiansen (Kathi), Lori (Mark) McCabe, Michael “Toad” (Angie) Christiansen, Leona “Jo” (Kevin) Guffey, Roy (Lynda) Christiansen, Neil (Melanie) Christiansen, Bobbette (Dean) Westerfield; 27 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Theda (Keith) Parkinson, Wayne (Rosie) Christiansen and countless other family and friends.

Special thanks to Hospice for Utah. He was preceded in death by parents, six brothers, two sisters, newborn fraternal twins, son, mark O. Christiansen and many friends.
