Camilla Maria Olson Evans

Camilla Maria Olson Evans, 80, Arimo, died August 18, 1985 in Pocatello Regional Medical Center of injuries received in an auto accident. She was born October 17, 1904 in Preston to Maritinus and Camilla Brodin Olsen.

On May 9, 1925 she married Dean Elmo Evans at Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on May 20, 1952. They made their home in Robin where they farmed for 45 years. He died August 18, 1970.

She taught elementary school for 25 years in Robin, Arimo, McCammon and lava Hot Springs. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in Sunday School, MIA, Primary and Relief Society. She devoted much time and energy to Robin area Boy Scouts. She enjoyed doing genealogy.

Survivors include two sons, Martin Dean Evans, Las Vegas, NV and Daniel B. Evans, Springville, UT; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Camilla Harriet) Gummon, Orem, UT; a brother, Frank Olsen, Weston; four sisters, Edith Robbins, Pennsylvania; Golda Mitchell, Bountiful, UT; Carmen Garif, Salt Lake City and Dagna Wheatley, Los Altos, CA; 12 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Arimo LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Calvert Christensen officiating. Burial was in the Robin Cemetery.
