Calvin J Yearsley Dies At Downey
Downey—Calvin J. Yearsley, 65, died Saturday at 1:40 a.m. in the Marsh Valley Hospital following a short illness.
He was born August 9, 1900, at Woodruff, the son of James H. and Rosa Howell Yearsley. He married Margaret Ann Atkinson on Oct. 12, 1921, in the Logan LDS Temple.
Mr. Yearsley was educated in the Woodruff schools and was a retired farmer. He was a high priest in the Downey LDS Ward and had served a mission in 1921 to the Western States Mission. He was a Sunday School superintendency counselor and a bishop counselor in the Woodland LDS Ward at Downey.
Survivors include the widow, three sons, Stanton L. of Swan Lake, Leon C. and A. Lyle, both of Pocatello; and a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Ruth Ann) Thompson of Pocatello.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, four brothers, Leslie E. and Gerald M., both of Malad, Clifton E. of Driggs, and Lorin V. of Pocatello; and four sisters, Mrs. Benjamin W. Harding of Moscow, Mrs. Royal B. (Maude) Jensen of Malad, Mrs. James E. (Mary) John of Brigham City, Utah, and Mrs. Dean W. (Carma) Tubbs of Ola, Idaho.
