Brent Walter Wimmer

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend Brent Walter Wimmer. Brent tragically and unexpectedly passed from this world on September 5, 2014 leaving behind a family who loved and will miss him dearly. Brent was born on June 15, 2001 to Mark and Lydia Montoya Wimmer in West Valley City, Utah. Brent was a loving, affectionate, funny and good hearted kid. He was the entire world to his loving parents. Brent attended Clark Johnson Junior High in Tooele and most recently Malad Middle School in Malad, Idaho. Brent could brighten anyone’s day as he always took the time to inquire about family and friends and was genuinely concerned how others were doing. Brent always put the happiness of others above his own. Brent had a deep love for the outdoors and spent the majority of his life enjoying his favorite activities with his mother and dad. He especially loved to fish, camp and backpack. He would spend an entire month in the summers camping and fishing in the Uinta’s with his Dad with frequent visits from Mom and Grandpa Wimmer. He loved spending quality time with his family. Brent had a very compassionate heart and a special place in his heart for animals. He loved caring for his various animals and his cousins enjoyed visiting “Brent’s Farm”. Brent’s loving nature and fun personality will leave a void in our hearts forever. He will be missed more than words can ever express. Brent is survived by his parents Mark and Lydia Wimmer, Grandparents Walt & Jeanette Wimmer, Maria Montoya and his brothers JR and Alberto. His very special nieces Monica, C.C. and Aurelia Montoya whom he loved as sisters; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, whom all loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his loving Grandpa John Montoya and Uncle Eric Wimmer. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday September 11, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 3305 South Scottsdale Drive, West Valley City, UT, with a viewing from 11:30am-12:45pm. A viewing will also be held in Malad, Idaho on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 7:00pm-8:00pm for all those who loved him at the Horsley Funeral Home located at 132 West 300 North. Our lives will never be the same without you, but is better for having had you in it. We love you Brent!
