Brady Lee Grote

Our sweet Brady Boy has gone on to be with his Mom (Danise) in Heaven. His life here on earth was only 17 years, but in those years, Brady touched so many with his sensitive soul and great sense of humor. We love you Brady and will celebrate your life always.

Brady had an amazing personality full of joy and curiosity. He was passionate about many things including Graffiti Art, Music and Diverse Cultures. Brady was a great student and a spectacular artist. His goal was to attend UCLA with his best friend to study medicine.

Brady’s network of friends grew like wildfire due to his amazing spirit and genuine acceptance of others. This beautiful and strong circle was fueled by Brady’s brothers and their incredible friendships with so many awesome individuals.

Brady Lee Grote was born November 20, 1991 in Logan, Utah to Raymond Lee Grote, Jr. and Vera Danise Thomas Grote and passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Sandy, Utah.

Brady spent his first four years living in Deweyville and Garland, Utah. The family moved to Malad, Idaho in 1996. Shortly after Brady’s mother passed away in July of 1996, Brady, Travis and Dezi became part of the Poulsen family in Sandy, Utah where he resided for the remainder of his life.

Brady is survived by his Father, Raymond Lee Grote, Jr., and other parents, Tracy Dean Poulsen and Lisa Kay Thomas Poulsen and four brothers, Travis L. Douglas Grote, Jordin Dean Poulsen, Robert Kodiak Poulsen, Garrett Thomas Poulsen, and his little sister, DeziRay Lainey Grote, as well as grandparents, Karen Wharton, Ernie and Jeanine Apodaca, Ernest and Caroline Poulsen, and uncles, Brent (Trina) Grote, Dan (LesLee) Thomas, Shawn Thomas, and aunts, Jennifer Grote and Kathy (Rob) Hess, and many cousins.

Brady was preceded in death by his Mother, Vera Danise Thomas Grote, Grandfathers, Raymond Lee Grote, Sr., Robert Wayne Thomas, and Kenneth L. Wharton.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 28, 2008 at the LDS chapel on 1535 East Creek Rd, in Sandy, Utah. Family and friends can meet with the Grote/Poulsen families at the Sandy, Utah LDS chapel on Creek Rd from 12:00 noon to 1:30 P.M. The service will be at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel. On Saturday, November 29, 2008 family and friends can meet the families at the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 West 300 North, Malad, Idaho from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Interment will be at the Malad City Cemetery at noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at US bank and Ireland Bank in Malad, Idaho in Brady’s memory as well as any Zions Bank in Salt Lake City.
