Boyd Caldwell Davis

OGDEN – Boyd Caldwell Davis, 77, passed away February 1, 2004 while he slept. Boyd was born on September 8, 1926 in Malad, Idaho to Griff J. and Vernal C. Davis. Boyd was preceded in death by Dorothy M. Gooden, his wife of 35 years.

He grew up in Malad, Idaho, then moved to California. While in California he was in the U.S. Army during World War II and then worked for Boeing Aircraft. In 1960 they moved to Ogden, Utah where he worked for Dave’s Paper Disp. For 20 years, also Williams International and Volvo Trucks Manufacturing Co. for eight years as a security guard. Boyd loved football and bowling and also enjoyed carpentry work.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Steven Davis, Willard; Ronald Davis, Belcourt, ND; Gloria J. Kibler, Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, Ronnie, Kristie, Stephanie, Courtney, Heather and Ron Jr; and five great-grandchildren, Forrest, Summer, Hunter, Miles and Camron. Also surviving are seven sisters and one brother, Erma Jean, Emily, Marlene, JoAnn, Pearl, Rosalie, Deanne and John.

Boyd was preceded indeath by his wife; three brothers, Claire, Vaun, Terry; and one great-grand daughter, Maysee.

Funeral services will be held February 7, 2004 at Myers Mortuary Chapel in Ogden. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at the Willard Cemetery.
