Son of Benjamin and Mary Williams Evans, Mr. Evans was born at Malad May 14, 1874. He was reared and educated in Malad where he engaged in farming and stock raising during his adult life. On December 31, 1896 he was married to Gwen Jones at Malad.

A member of the LDS Church, Mr. Evans was also a former member of the Woodmen of America, Malad Camp. 8264.

Survivors include his wife; one son, John L. Evans, Malad; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Thomas, Malad; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Nicholas, Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. Mary Sievert, Denver; Mrs. Annie Hill, Malad.
