Funeral services for Benjamin C. Adams a former Malad resident, are being conducted today (Thursday) May 16, 1957, at the Third Ward LDS Chapel in Malad. Bishop Hubert Gleed is officiating.
Mr. Adams died of a heart ailment at his home in San Francisco, Saturday, May 11th.
An only son and brother of 11 sisters, Mr. Adams was born at Malad, May 29, 1891, to Benjamin N. and Mary Ann Clark Adams. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a veteran of World War I. A barber by trade, Mr. Adams had resided in San Francisco for the past 42 years. He had requested that he be buried at Malad.
The body was accompanied here from California by his widow Mary, his sister, Carrie, and his niece, Mrs. Mollie DuClair.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Merz Adams, San Francisco; four sisters: Mrs. T. J. (Charlotte) Evans, Mrs. W. J. (Eliza) Evans, both of Malad; Carrie Adams, San Francisco, Calif.; and Mrs. Lynn (Georgena) Nelson, San Diego, California.
