Ben Williams

Ben Williams, 87, died Thursday, January 24, in the Oneida County Nursing Home. He was born to Edwin and Lucy Emma Green Williams at Henderson Creek on September 26, 1897. He was educated in Henderson Creek and lived all of his life there. He farmed and ranched until 1982 and then he retired due to ill health.
On April 17, 1917, he married Nora Bell in Malad. She died on February 5, 1958. He was a member of the LDS Church.
He is survived by five sons: Wayne J., Clem B., and Ken, all of Malad; Dee, Plymouth, Utah; and Grant, Preston; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Mona) Bird, Idaho Falls; and Mrs. LaVene John, Malad; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Evans, Calif.; and Mrs. Mattie Treasure, Downey; 34 grandchildren; 76 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 28, in the Cherry Creek LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Donald Vaughan officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home.
