August 10, 1892 – February 15, 1977

Ben A. Evans, age 84, died February 15 in an Ogden hospital of a long illness. He was born August 10, 1892 at Malad, a son of T.J. and Charlotte Adams Evans. He married Belle Thorpe February 17, 1915 in Malad, the marriage was solemnized September, 1937 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was a farmer, rancher and cattleman. He was a member of Idaho Cattlemens Assoc. and the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife of Malad; two sons and two daughters: Rex T. Evans, Malad; Glenn T. Evans, Mrs. Betty Jones and Mrs. Theda Shulz, all of Ogden. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters: Thomas A. Evans and Mrs. Heber (Charlotte) Hansen, both of Malad; Mrs. Maggie Reynolds and Mrs. Ray (Fern) Hogge, both of Ogden.

Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Malad Third LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Phil Gillies officiating. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
