Barbara Archibald dies Friday

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon December 24 (1979) for Barbara Lee Morrison Archibald, 53, of Virginia, Idaho. She died Friday, December 21, at her home following a long illness.

She was born May 10, 1926 in Gentry, Ark., to Herbert L. and Ethel B. Barker Morrison. She moved with her family to Fresno, Calif., where she grew up and attended schools.

She married Allen M. Archibald march 9, 1942, in Fresno. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple June 4, 1943. After living in Fresno, they moved to Idaho in 1948. They purchased a farm in Virginia and lived there the past 32 years.

Mrs. Archibald was active in the LDS Church while her health permitted. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was known for her love and care of animals.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and four daughters: Larry Allen Archibald, Downey; Steven L. Archibald, Garland, Utah; Mrs. Douglas (Carolyn Louise) Seibert, Lebanon, Ore.; Mrs. Richard (Janice) Jacobsen, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Gerald (Cathryn) Bowman, Downey; Mrs. Mark (Elizabeth) Eastvold, Downey; and her mother Mrs. Ethel Morrison, Fresno. Mrs. Archibald is also survived by 20 grandchildren, a brother and four sisters: Herbert Morrison, Antioch, Calif.; Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Mijack, Sacramento, and Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Jones, Mrs. John (Maralyn) Ewald and Mrs. Clynn Jones Dockstader, all of Fresno.
