Asahael Kenneth Wilkins

Asahael Kenneth Wilkins, age 75, died Monday at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, May 28th, in the Malad LDS Fourth Ward Chapel with Bishop Earl Gillies officiating. Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home Thursday evening and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkins was born Oct. 13, 1897, at Manassa, Colorado, a son of James L. and May Fuller Wilkins. He married Irene J. Cottam, Sept. 22, 1915, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mr. Wilkins received his education, in the Salt Lake City schools. He was a carpenter. An active member of the LDS Church, he was a High. Priest and served on the Sunday School Board of the Malad Fourth Ward.
Survivors include his widow. Malad; five sons and one daughter, L. K. (Ken), John, Mrs. Jessie Irene Cottle, all of Salt Lake City; Ace, Dee L., William (Billie), Denver, Colorado; 31 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren; seven half-brothers and half-sisters: James Larkin, Sandy, Utah; Bishop Thomas Larkin, Snowville, Utah; Ferril Wilkins, Lavon Wilkins, Mrs. Cleo Henry, Mrs. Venera Smithson, Los Angeles; Mrs. Amber Mecham, Tempe, Arizona.
