Arlene Marleta Venable Hayes

Swan Lake, Idaho……..Arlene Marleta Venable Hayes, 61, of Swan Lake, wife of Robert E. Hayes, passed away at her home on June 5, 2009. She was born October 11, 1947 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the daughter of Paul Daniel and Marleta Irene Buchtel Venable. She was a graduate of East High School. Arlene married John Hassell and they moved to Spain, where they had four children. They later divorced and she married Greg Salverson. To this marriage, two children were born. After 15 years of marriage, they divorced. Arlene married Robert ” Bob” Eskelson Hayes and the past few years they have lived in Swan Lake. Bob and Arlene worked in the Logan LDS Temple for 30 months , they then served a mission to Australia. She had also served in many other callings. Arlene was a hard worker, who loved her family and life. She was also known for her quilting. Arlene is survived by her husband, Bob of Swan Lake. children; daughter ;Rebecca (Jerry) Hoffman of Edmond, Oklahoma; sons; John Hassell and Tom Hassell and daughter; Rachel Hassell all of Fort Collins, CO.; daughter; Gretchen (Derrick) Wells of Cheyenne, Wyoming; son; Erick Salverson also of Cheyenne, Wyoming. two sisters; Karen Venable of Pasadena, CA. and Robin Bruso of Salt Lake City , Utah. Step children; Vickie Lynn (Marvin Lee) Paxton; Robert King (Joene Johnson) Hayes; Larry William Hayes; Michael Daid (Emiliya) Hayes. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 11 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step grandson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 11, 2009 at 12 noon in the Swan Lake LDS Chapel. Friends may visit with the Hayes family on Wednesday evening June 10 from 6-8 pm at the Swan Lake church and on Thursday prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 am. Burial will follow in the Swan Lake Cemetery. Arrangements are by Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
