Anthony J. Evans, 18, American Falls, died October 31, 1987 at Moscow following an automobile accident. He was born May 19, 1969 at American Falls to Floyd and Joan Echevarria Evans. He was reared and educated in American Falls, graduating from AFHS in 1987.

He played football for four years, basketball for four years and was on the track team for three years at AFHS. He was a member of National Honor Society. In his senior year he was named Athlete of the Year. In 1986 he attended Boys State in Boise. For eight years he was in 4-H and raised lambs.

He was engaged to be married to Jennifer Wesenberg of American Falls. He was attending the University of Idaho at Moscow at the time of his death. Tony was a member of the LDS Church.

Some of his interests include fishing, camping, biking and weight lifting.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Jo Evans, American Falls; two brothers, Chris and Nick, American Falls; paternal grandparents, Ed and Thelma Evans of American Falls; maternal grandparents John and Ruth Echevarria of American Falls; great-grandmother, Thelma Hawkins, Malad.

Funeral service was November 4, 1987 at the LDS Third Ward Chapel in American Falls, with Bishop Dan Hammond officiating. Burial was in Fallsview Cemetery under the direction of Davis Mortuary.
