Funeral set for Mrs. Vanderwood, 80

Funeral services are scheduled Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel for Mrs. Annie Thomas Vanderwood, age 80, who died Sunday at Oneida Hospital of natural causes.

Mrs. Vanderwood was born October 13, 1889, at Malad, a daughter of Benjamin L. and Elizabeth Evans Thomas. She was educated in Malad schools and was married to Evan Vanderwood on March 22, 1909, and he died March December 20, 1949. A member of the LDS Church, she was also active in the Native Daughters of Idaho Pioneers and a member of the Idaho Cattlemen’s Assn. She is survived by a son. Howard E., Malad; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Ericsson, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Earl H. Dodson. Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren; five great­grandchildren; three brothers and a sister, John E.William E., Daniel E., Mrs. Lee (Mary) Morgan, all of Malad.

Benson Funeral Home will direct burial at Malad City Cemetery.
